the words of the fools influence the beliefs of the ignorant.
Too true, Douglas!
Wisdom takes time, hardwork, and can’t be insta cooked. This gives the short-cutters an advantage. This is based upon the principle of the conservation of energy, in terms of the difference between creation and destruction. Since good is ‘better’ fundamentally than evil, to conserve energy, that basically means more energy is required to create something of good than it is to cause something that is evil. Realistically, this means that it takes a few weeks or months to blow up a handful or even hundreds of children, as with Beslan and Iraq, but it takes years and decades in single and centuries in aggregate for the parents to raise them, teach them, and safeguard those children.
There are no easy answers for good people, for life is an eternal struggle for them, against the forces of darkness and despair, both personal and seen in others. Evil has no interest in trying hard at anything, even its destruction is simplistic and lazy compared to the pinpoint precision and care of the US military. Is it any wonder then that fools have no doubts but wise folks do?
Wisdom also comes from learning from mistakes, whereas you can be completely sure of your stance despite it being a folly in the past because you don’t see it as your mistake.
Thanks Ymarsakar, you always have such great insightful comments!
