This is our backyard today. Our poor dog (85 lb. golden retriever named Sadie) has not had much fun time trying to get through this white stuff. She usually doesn’t mind the snow, except when it’s deeper than she is tall!

the snow is so gorgeous…
feeling sorry for Sadie, but with all this ‘global warming’, your fine PUP might have to become accustomed to lots of snow…
really enjoy your ETSY shop, and had believe you are a true talent.
i will have to save up for a ‘A Rose By Name’ treasure.
best wishes…
Please feel sorry for us.. it was down to the high thirties this morning in way South Florida…
However, I thank the Lord for global warming… otherwise our back yard might look like yours.. On second thought a touch of snow might look good decorating our Avacados. ;-(

It is really pretty in our backyard, Brooklyn! There’s actually a creek back there, too and it’s covered with snow and ice.
Thank you so much for the compliment and good wishes about my beadwork! I love doing it and I am going to have much more on the site as soon as I get some nice photos taken.
I’ll trade you, Jack! I’ll take some of those avocadoes off your hands and send you a little snow in exchange!
My father-in-law and his wife are in Florida and they have become so used to the warm weather, it really throws them off when it gets cold! Hang in there. Before you know it, it will be hot, humid and in the 80s!
aw it looks so so purdy Anna!..snow angels?..lol
I’ll leave the snow angels up to you, Angel! I love how pretty it looks, but I’ll stay out of it for the most part!
Brrr! Nothing else to say, just brrr!
(I won’t tell you how … er, “cold” it is down here right now. I might get kicked out of the comments section!)
Anna,
We have only one avocado left on the tree.. another tree is showing avocado bulbs about the size of a small thumb. They will be ready in July or August — should be almost the size of footballs if the March winds don’t blow them off…
Last time we tried sending Avocados up Nawth (Nova Scotia) we were thanked for over-done, un- spiced guacamole in the shell..
I’ll take the 80′s and 90′s any day!
Stay warm

Anna, that is so beautiful; and reminds me of my childhood in south Connecticut. We had some really great snow storms in the 1950s (that was before GW). However, having lived in the south for most of my life, I only miss the scenery. I certainly do not miss having to “dig out” from under such a heavy snow.
God bless you Anna – stay warm.
It’s OK, Kyle. You have your own problems there in Texas…like bugs the size of a cat!
I stay indoors as much as possible and that helps along with about 17 layers of clothing! Think the snowsuit scene of “A Christmas Story”!
We have a nice farmer’s market/grocery close by and they have lovely avocados almost year-round. Most of their produce is locally grown, but they do pull in some great stuff from out of state, too.
Guacamole…YUM!
It really is beautiful Old Soldier. I love that part of it and when I don’t have to go out in it, it’s even better!
Bless you, too, OS! You’re the best!
Anna, someone took a great photograph! I look forward to more great photos.
I heard that Jesse Jackson accused snow of being racist…
(*drum riff*)
hehe
You are really bad, Stew-be-do!
Thank you jg. I was using my husband’s digital camera and I really like how it turned out as well!
’bout what my yard looks like Anna. I know I have a picnic table…just can’t seem to find it for the snow today. We buckeye girls can handle it though…layers…lots of layers.
You got it, M*A! Now that the “sun” is long gone though, it’s afghan time!
Annanonymous, watch those afghan’s closely. You never know, the afghan that you know, love and trust; the one that you brought into your house to cover stuff… just might be harboring taliban dust…
(Please note: I could so not resist)
Have you called Algore yet? He might want to see this…or he might not!
I’ve never seen snow, except on the mountaintops from afar here in Southern Cal (except once after it iced up at Mt. Hood and once at Mount Baldy here).
At my apartment building I have been very entertained to see the massive quantity of yellow snow lining both sides of the sidewalk leading to the parking lot! Clearly Columbus, Ohio canines are averse to cold feet!
Gorgeous. This untouched snow is so beautiful. Great photo!
Stew….ba-da-bump! As my grandpa would say, “Son, you should be on the stage…there’s one leavin’ in 10 minutes!”
No, Pam, we wouldn’t want to disillusion him…oops, already done!
Douglas, you are so deprived! You should live in a snow area for at least a year, just so you can appreciate the pure torture digging out can be! Actually, I don’t mind it too much…especially on days like today when I have no place I have to go!
Gayle, this is actually the first time our dog has gone off the deck before doing her business. I suppose she figures it’s deep no matter where she goes!
It is beautiful, Georgia. I think the only tracks out there were from the animals. We have raccoon, deer, rabbits and the occasional stray cat.
OMG!!! That’s so pretty! I wish it’d snow here. Just for a day or two
It was pretty. Today is slushy and drippy and a mess! I’d send you some of the pretty stuff if I could, beth!
Anna — that is a winter wonderland! Beautiful — made all the more so because it’s there, and I’m here!
Andrea
BTW, I have a patio set exactly like yours — exactly. Well, almost. Mine doesn’t have snow on it!!!
Well Andrea, could send you some! Actually, it doesn’t look so pretty anymore. Yesterday and today have been much warmer (40s), so the snow is turning into slush! Enjoy your warm weather, pretty soon you’ll be running from A/C car to A/C buildings!
Pretty to look at, but not something I’d like to wade through!
Me either, benning! I don’t think I left the house for a couple of days after that snow!
