This is a song I heard for the first time right after my Mom died (over three years ago). It really hit me hard. This is a song of hope – though I’d advise you to have hankies handy. It’s all just come to the forefront as we go through so much again with my mother-in-law now.
p.s. Life is still up in the air at the moment. I hope to be back soon, though.

Oh, I remember when Diamond Rio came out with this song. It is beautiful and sad at the same time. Thank you for posting it!
I love Diamond Rio and their tight harmonies! I’m glad you liked it, Lady Jane, I do too!
Oh, Anna….
Knowing you, I’ll have to wait ’til I get home to watch this as my company doesn’t have flood insurance
It has all the right ingredients doesn’t it, M*A? “More than angels watching over me…”
Good idea, G! You wouldn’t want to have to explain the waterworks to your coworkers, either! (’cause we know what a total softie you are my friend!)
Beautiful song. I hope it gives you some comfort, Anna.
Thanks Word!
Stay strong, trust in GOD, we’re here with you.
Thanks benning!
It has been my experience that most people do NOT “believe” — all I can say to them is… you’re going to be mighty surprised when your time comes! Having lost two people to whom I was extremely close, no one was ever more surprised that ME when I’d feel that “soft & gentle touch” long after they’d left this earth. “More than angels watching over me” indeed!
Not being a country and western fan, I’d not heard of Diamond Rio but I will perk up from now on when I hear that name. I listerned to this song at least three times as it was obviously written by someone who had “been there.” Every word such a gift!
“There are more things in heaven and earth than you’ve dreamt of in your philosophy.”
— William Shakespeare
Anna, you and your family are in my prayers.
Thank you so much, Trish! I agree, I know that my mom is with me and I know she was there looking out for my mother-in-law (they were good friends). In fact, when I told my youngest about MIL’s close call with death, she was with her friend and that friend said, “She must be touched by an angel,” which of course caused many more tears. Out of the mouths of babes…
Hiyas Anna..I love this tune too!..Stay strong…Life can be so hard..sigh..and hey…Keep believing.;:)
Thank you Angel! Your name fits you, dear!
