Anna, this is one of my favorite paintings…or i should say prints…is hanging in my breezeway….i like to think of it as my “garden room”. Sometimes i sit and look at it and wonder, is she “held captive” in her home, garden or is she in her “safe place”…i prefer, safe place.

I think of it as her escape…her walled garden where she is at peace in beautiful surroundings! (I would love to have this print, as well as the one to the left…”Gather Ye Rosebuds”, also by Waterhouse.)
