Go to your Dashboard, click the “Change my profile” link on the left and it’s the Avatar. It should show you right there where/how you can add a pic for your avatar.

OK, here goes. I hope you don’t mind that I picked a rose too. (After all, it’s my name.) But I purposely chose an orange one so nobody will get us confused. (Although I’d consider being mistaken for you to be a compliment.)

I love your rose, it’s beautiful! My mom’s name was Rosalie, though she had a very few special friends that she allowed to call her Rose. Roses were her favorite flower as well, thus the name/theme of my blog. (And thank you so much for the lovely compliment!)

Anna, you’re welcome. My mother loved roses too. She had a garden filled with rose bushes, and bouquets all over the house in spring and summer. I never smell a rose now without thinking of her.

Mom didn’t have the best of luck with rose bushes, but I do know that hot-house roses saddened her because they didn’t have the scent or the hardiness of naturally grown roses. One of Mom’s favorite roses was the “American Heritage” rose which starts out as a pink/coral bud and opens to a creamy yellow.
