DUBAI (Reuters) – Al Qaeda called on non-Muslims especially in the United States to convert to Islam and abandon their ‘misguided’ ways or else suffer, according to a video tape posted on a Web site on Saturday.
The speaker was identified as Azzam the American, also known as Adam Yahiye Gadahn — an Islamic convert from California wanted for questioning by the FBI and who U.S. authorities believe to be involved in an information campaign for al Qaeda.
“To Americans and the rest of Christendom we say, either repent (your) misguided ways and enter into the light of truth or keep your poison to yourself and suffer the consequences in this world and the next,” Gadahn said in English.
This was bound to happen. The plan all along has been for Islam to be spread around the world. For Islam, in fact, to be the only religion on the planet and all those who either refuse to convert or are “undesirables” will be killed. I don’t know about you, but this is not a world I want to live in! The video can be found here.

i feel it is another reminder, they are losing. they miscalculated, not understanding blowing people up, is simply not attractive. now they soften their game again, out of desperation. laughable, more threats from cowards.

The Crusades happened in like the 11th/12th century. This is really just Islam having it’s “Crusade”. They’re up to the 11 Century guys.

You must first how to learn to differentiate between Islam and Muslims. If a guy says something who happens to be a Muslim, does NOT mean he says what ISLAM says.
After all, is EVERY WORD you say rooted in your religion? Can I take you as a sample of your religion and base my knowledge of your religion on your words and actions????

From what I understand, the koran states that muslims must invite infidels to submit to islam before attaking. If the infidels do not submit, then allah is cool with some head chopping. Apparently OBL made some of the clerics angry when the attacks of 9/11 happened, because he did not invite the US to submit to islam first.
This may be what is happening, but to me it seems like they are trying to provoke the US into a war with Iran.

Sara, I don’t believe you read my post as you would see that I did not use the terms Muslim and Islam interchangebly. I merely printed part of a story reported in the paper (which in the portion I copied, did not use the terms interchangebly either) and said that I would not be converting to Islam, thank you. I suggest you read a post before you comment on it.
Provocation is most likely the hope, but I think it will take more then a video to provoke the US. But, if your chronology is correct, we can expect to be attacked now that the invitation has been given, hizzykiller.
The Christian Right are those Unitarians and anti-gay fanatics who protest at the funeral of US soldiers with signs saying “God hates gays”. The Unitarians, of course, being in Conneti accusing Liberman of supporting “torture” which their “faith” tells them is always wrong. These are the Christian Right that are no better than the Left. Which is why the Left always talks about how they fight against the Christian Right, because they are allied together, and so long as they can make people believe that they are separate, they get political points for deception.
